Duval County, which is below Nassau County and above St. Johns County, is where Jacksonville is located. Jacksonville, the largest city in area in the continental United States, incorporates all of Duval County, although much of A1A runs through the Jacksonville beaches (Mayport, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Jacksonville Beach), communities that are quasi-independent from the city itself.
